Life takes its toll, so I am seeking to hand over ownership of this community to someone who can give it more attention than I can.

Due to the new TOS, I am not comfortable keeping ownership of a community that I am not actively managing, so I will be deleting the comm if no new owners can be found. This is not a decision I take lightly, but I am not willing to simply leave it dormant as I have with communities in the past. For everyone's protection, someone will need to consider issues like how to handle slash and how to go about having old adult content marked as such, particularly content pre-dating the adult content settings. That someone should be the someone who takes this community forward.

Edit: As there has been no response, and this is a small community that hasn't seen traffic in some years but has a reasonable number of old entries of interest, I have decided to move the comm to Dreamwidth to preserve it. I doubt it will be an active comm over there, but at least the content will endure.

Edit 2: Thanks to themightyflynn who has kindly stepped up to take the community on!

A journey of silent dignity and selflessness. Narcissa's perspective on The Blue Vial. (You can read this on its own, but if you're going to read both, it's probably better to read Blue Vial first).

Living with a constant reminder of the wife he may never see again leaves Lucius floundering, too. Goes AU immediately after the Battle of Astronomy Tower.

Summary: Narcissa and Lucius found friendship in their arranged marriage, and love outside it with Severus and Tonks - spies with divided loyalties, both. Their secret loves and loyalties would, quite by accident, add the final layer to the force that might bring down the Dark Lord once and for all. Canon compliant-ish to Astronomy Tower (liberties taken, especially with dates). Told in three acts:

Act 1: The Hidden Third. Narcissa's pregnancy leads to soul searching - about the dilution of a Pureblood family, the extinction of the Houses of Malfoy and Black, and the triple defiance of the three in concealing their child's nature from their own Dark master.

Act 2: Maîtresse-en-titre. After years of indulging Narcissa and Severus, oblivious to the mastery of romantic love, Lucius learns first-hand about the craziness and folly of loving the wrong person. This one is Nymphadora Tonks, the spy sent to betray him.

Act 3: The Sons Of July. Severus hears a new prophecy, and learns of a fourth Son of July. In the final battle, Nymphadora, Lucius, Severus and Narcissa are reunited - but none have the full picture, and sacrifices will be needed along the way.

In the story Harry is forced to marry Lucius and when Lucius comes to pick him up at Grimmauld Place he discovers that Harry has a daughter (I think her name began with a "c".) When they return to Malfoy Manor, Lucius puts Harry in charge of Draco's punishments. Draco also ends up with Hermione and Severus at the end. Unfortunately, I don't remember the author or the title.

I've put a new layout and userpic on the comm, and back-tagged for easy searching for types of content. I've also gotten rid of a few posts. These were very old posts that linked to things that didn't exist anymore, comm promo spam (ie, many posts, not one), and a couple of things from a long time ago that now break the chan rule in the updated comm rules. I can't be flexible on that one, for legal reasons, sorry. I didn't delete any feedback in the process - I've have contacted the poster if that had been the case.

Author's Notes: This video was inspired, indirectly, by a different Lucius creative, Two of a Kind, which paired Lucius and Tonks in a post-war piece centred around the stages of grief, but also explored a loving marriage between Lucius and Narcissa prior to her death. Feedback very much appreciated, particularly as this is a somewhat experimental piece. (I'm aware of a couple of tiny fiddly problems in the manips, but I'm keen to know whether the overall effect worked for you).

Dear all

LJ has transferred ownership of this commuity to me, because the prior owner is inactive on LJ and I asked about a post of my own that had not appeared.

I myself am not overly active on LJ and would like to appoint one or more additional users as moderators. One of the key things to be aware of in runnng a comm is that posts with external links may go into a moderation queue and these need to be approved as an anti-spam measure.

1) A Rhapsody in Riddle (circa 1942): Abraxas Malfoy is mourning the death of his father. Tom Riddle is plotting to open the Chamber. When Abraxas tries to intimidate the Half-blood upstart, little does he realise that his life is going to be irrevocably changed.

2) Prometheus, Prometheus, I will not bind thee (circa 1948) : Abraxas knows what Riddle has been doing to himself. Dumbledore speaks of monsters and Slughorn speaks of Prometheus while Abraxas finds himself conflicted between love and conscience.

3) I Will Always Sing for You (circa 1976) : In which Lucius wonders about the origins of his father's cane, Voldemort returns to the country, Abraxas would rather have a Dark Lord by his deathbed than his heir, and Severus is a sulky, ugly teenager with quite a mouth on him.
